Title of session:

Strategies for sharing good flexible learning practice

Description:

The presenters will set the context by leading a brief discussion of the barriers to and issues involved in the sharing of good flexible learning practice among teaching staff in tertiary educational institutions in New Zealand. Many of these present considerable challenges to staff developers seeking to develop collaboration in flexible learning practice within and beyond their institutions and indeed this is an important aspect of the work of the Teaching Matters Forum set up this year by the Ministry of Education.

Therefore this session will focus on bringing together participants' experience of both successful and unsuccessful approaches to the dissemination of good flexible learning practice. Our goal is to develop a 'toolbox' of individual strategies which participants can use to encourage and promote the sharing of good flexible learning practice within their own organisations.
