Effective education has much to do with
communication, the transference of ideas and understanding between
minds. Our ability to read and write provides tools that allow us
to slip the shackles of time in one sense but fails to meet our
expectations of interactivity in another. Even in our digital world,
with carefully designed hyperlinked text, the elements of spontaneity
and human interactivity are best experienced in real time dialogue.
We are a social animal and, for the vast majority, our learning
is firmly founded on social interaction. For those engaging in education
over distance this presents challenges which are now met with inexpensive
and familiar tools. In this session we demonstrate the ease with
which we can share the classroom with others - wherever they may
be in the world. |
