Paper

Description:

In the mid-1990s, Fran Wilde (Wellington’s mayor at that time) attended a local school production which she noticed was being streamed over the internet by Richard Naylor in his “spare time”. Soon after this, Richard set up CityLink Ltd, delivering Broadband services around Wellington’s CBD. CityLink now offer StreamingNET services including On-Demand Streaming, Live Streaming and Webcasting.

Richard will talk about his work as a professional webcaster over the past 10 years and show how it has become highly affordable. Richard’s business, R2, and CityLink, currently stream 12 TV stations and more than 40 radio stations, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
