Title of session:

It's the little things that count

Category:

Paper

Description:

It's often the little things that cause a lot of trouble in a project, especially in organisations that are unfamiliar with the processes needed to move such projects forward. The team involved in this eCDF project was spread across the country. They used a virtual space and web-based communication tools for team collaboration. This model of project management, file management and communication could be used within and between institutions.

Biography:

Kate Hunt is a learning designer with experience in both distance and campus-based institutions. She has been involved with several eCDF projects and has a vested interest in keeping track of the work undertaken by writers, designers, and developers in such projects.

Hannah Pia Baral is a 'Flexible Learning Leader in NZ' recipient for 2005-6 and has spent five years working for the largest Pacific private training provider in NZ as part of the team that pioneered the e-Learning development for the organisation.  She saw first hand the benefits of providing technology access to communities through education.  She was also involved in developing the 'e-mat' website for ITPNZ's e-Pacific project.
