Title of session:

Collaborative learning: LIVE online seminar for participants using shared whiteboard and video conferencing

Category:

Paper

Description:

Do you know what 81% of CEOs in Greater China see as the key to innovation and business growth?

Collaboroom opens your classroom to the world, creating new learning possibilities for teachers and students in class and online. Create presentations, share documents and applications face-to-face using this virtual whiteboard and video conferencing solution.

You already have the hardware to get started: any computer with Internet connection and a mouse.  To upsize this solution, just add an inexpensive webcam and headset for live video conferencing.  No baking required, just plug in and start talking!

This is a vendor stream for participants as you will be asked to interact with our presenter who is joining us live from another city.  Dr Martyn Bowis will give you first-hand experience with this easy-to-use tool. You will take part in practical examples of how students can be part of a team working from anywhere with expertise at their fingertips, or get help with their homework and do team activities with their friends.

According to the IBM bi-annual Global CEO Study, the key to innovation is collaboration.  “You have to connect one area of innovation to another” [IBM News, Hong Kong, June 14, 2006].

As your student’s CEO, you won’t want to miss out on learning how you too can empower your students through collaborative learning with the affordable Collaboroom.
