Description:

This presentation will discuss the deliverables from the one-year eCDF project outlined in the title.  The e-Learning software packages, PBL-interactive and Challenge FRAP will be demonstrated, along with example scenarios and templates.  Both pieces of software support and facilitate a problem-based learning paradigm within any subject area.  Issues dealing with embedding this technology and the paradigm it supports within Tertiary Institutions will also be covered.

Biography:

Dr Terry Stewart has used scenario-based learning within his own discipline for over 20 years, an activity which won him a National Tertiary Teaching Award for innovation in 2003.  With this background, he won and managed a TEC eCDF grant assisting to develop specific scenario-based learning software for use over the Internet.       

Carey Ong has been involved in the development of instructional materials and e-Learning resources over the past three years. She comes from a multimedia design background and has a strong interest in educational and learning design.
