Description:

This paper will provide an overview of the current strategic policy context for the consideration of e-learning in the tertiary education sector in New Zealand. It will cover some of the needs that have been identified, and briefly outline possible priorities for research and development. The approach to utilising existing research-based material will also be discussed.

Biography:

Danny advises the Ministry of Education on tertiary e-learning. He has been involved in the strategic development of e-learning, including contributing to the 2004 Interim Tertiary e-Learning Framework. He has also been extensively involved in setting the research agenda for the current round of the Tertiary e-Learning Research Fund.
