'First Nature, First Learner' will explore the contrast between contemporary generations who see IT as normative, and older generations who learn IT through conventional education. The aim is to find complimentary differences that can be used to enrich our understanding of this educational process, and use it then practically to make IT learning more fluid, organic, and playful. Key ideas to be explored will be 'the importance of tutuing', progressive implementations of new technologies, and the critical aspect of peer communities in facilitating high level understandings. The workshop will have interactive as well as presentation elements, and will double as a research event for the Midnight Assembly to use in its future projects. |
