In many ways the words education and change are synergistic. This workshop will be based on the axiom that change starts the moment we ask a question. It is generally accepted that the use of reflection is a powerful tool when attempting to bring about change in both our professional development and as part of the process of education itself. In this context the word reflection generally implies that we question our feelings about our experiences in a way that gives us insight into those things which contribute to them. All forms of meaningful change, individual, small group and institutional, can benefit by asking 'the right’ questions. Fortunately developing the right questions for any particular situation is relatively straightforward if a set of key principles are followed. In this workshop the art of developing questions which enable a real change to take place will be explored. The techniques will cover a variety of educational and organisational contexts and so the workshop will be relevant to teachers, students, administrators and managers. It won’t be dry and boring theory, it will be practical, fun and inspiring. |
